Korong Vale is a small town in the Loddon Shire.

Korongvale Post Office opened on 17 May 1879 and was a major railway town for many years. It was renamed Korong Vale around 1945.

Water restrictions

Water Supply

Loddon Wimmera - supplies Borung, Korong Vale, Wedderburn, Wychitella, Inglewood, Bridgewater, Tarnagulla, Bealiba, Laanecoorie and Dunolly. Raw water supplied by the Wimmera Mallee Pipeline, Southwest Loddon Pipeline and the Loddon River. 

Water Treatment

Water is treated at the Korong Vale Water Treatment Plant.

The Water Treatment Process (PDF 43KB) includes coagulation and flocculation, clarification, dual media filtration and pH correction. The water is then disinfected via chloramination and stored in clearwater tanks.

The treated water is pumped from the clearwater tanks to the Korong Vale Tank and into the reticulation system.

Wastewater

There is no sewerage system for Korong Vale.
