Update: Wednesday 12 August
The following access points will re-open from 13 August 2026 after closing due to recent rainfall and a high-level of flows:
- Lauriston Reservoir
- Upper Coliban Premier Mine Road
The following access points remain closed
- Malmsbury Reservoir
- Uppr Coliban Reservoir dam wall
- Barkers Creek Reservoir
These closures help keep the public safe following wet conditions and high amounts of in-flows to the storages.
We appreciate the community's understanding and cooperation while these temporary closures are in place.
Friday 7 August
The following reservoirs are currently closed for all on-water recreational activities following significant rainfall:
- Lauriston Reservoir
- Upper Coliban Reservoir
- Malmsbury Reservoir
- Barkers Creek Reservoir
To help protect public safety during these conditions, all on-water recreational activities, including the use of kayaks, canoes and other small portable craft, are not permitted at these reservoirs until further notice.
