We’re carrying out flora and fauna investigations across our rural supply network between Monday 23 June and Friday 4 July.
Our contractors from SMEC will be working along roadsides and in public areas, assessing vegetation and wildlife patterns and movements. This work will take place in areas that may be considered for pipelines, if the Rural Water Efficiency Project is funded in the future.
No access to private property will be required, but customers and community members may notice our teams carrying out this work. In some areas, fauna surveys will need to take place at night, so our teams may be walking through these areas between 7pm and 10pm using spotlights to look for animals in trees.
This work is part of a broader program to make our rural network more efficient. Learn more at connect.coliban.com.au/rural-water-efficiency
