Boil Water Advisory now lifted – Gunbower
The water in Gunbower is safe to drink.
Following consultation with the Department of Health, we are advising customers that the Boil Water Advisory issued on 16 November is now lifted for Gunbower.
The Boil Water Advisory was issued following routine sampling, which had detected E. coli in the supply network indicating that the safety of the drinking water had been compromised.
The Advisory is now lifted as we have completed flushing the network. Water quality testing has confirmed the water supply is safe.
We recommend customers flush internal taps for two minutes to draw fresh water into their internal plumbing.
Customers were notified via SMS that the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted. Information about the lifting of the Advisory was made available on our website and through our social media accounts, and was distributed to local media.
