Boil Water Advisory now lifted – Echuca
The water in Echuca is safe to drink.
Following consultation with the Department of Health, we are advising customers that the Boil Water Advisory issued on Thursday 13 October 2022 is now lifted for Echuca.
The Boil Water Advisory was issued following excessive stormwater due to inclement weather entering one of our treated water storage tanks. This may have compromised the safety of the drinking water.
The Advisory is now lifted after the tank was isolated and flushing of the supply system completed. Water quality testing has confirmed the water supply is safe.
We recommend customers flush internal taps for two minutes to draw fresh water into their internal plumbing.
Customers were notified via SMS that the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted. Information about the lifting of the Advisory was made available on our website and through our social media accounts, and was distributed to local media.
