Planned works and interruptions

We regularly carry out planned works and projects to repair and upgrade our systems.

As a result some disruption to service and traffic interruptions may occur. We try and keep these to a minimum and where possible provide advance notice in local newspapers, on this website and by direct mail.

We have not listed all our current planned works below; just the works that may impact customers from traffic or service interruptions.

The information is as up-to-date as possible but is subject to change at short notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Details

Water source supply change, Heathcote and Tooborac Heathcote and Tooborac October 2017 until further notice

The raw water supply for the township of Heathcote and Tooborac will be changing from Caledonia Reservoir to Lake Eppalock from the end of October 2017.

The change in the supply source is necessary to ensure the quality of drinking water that we supply to our customers in Heathcote and Tooborac.

Customers should not notice any change to the drinking water that they receive.

All drinking water is treated to a standard that meets the requirements of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines and Victoria’s Safe Drinking Water Act.


Residents will receive notification via letter prior to the change occurring and we will continue to keep the community informed on this page.

 

Water main renewal, Trentham High Street (between Cosmo Road and Blue Mount Road), Trentham Wednesday 20 September - Friday 24 November 2017

There will be some interruptions to water supply.

Water carting,

Goornong and Elmore

 

Goornong and Elmore Friday 13 October 2017 until further notice

We are currently experiencing poor raw water quality in the supply basin that services Goornong.

The town water is safe to drink and continues to comply with all health requirements in the Australian Drinking Water Guideliness.

 

We are carting drinking water from Elmore to provide Goornong’s town water supply.

There should be no impact on Goornong or Elmore residents' water supply or pressure.

Customers who are affected have been notified.

Water meter replacement program, Coliban Water region

Various locations September - December 2017

As part of our Routine Renewals program our contractor, Select Solutions, is replacing the water flow meter at various properties in our region.

Customers who are affected have been notified.

Chlorination program, Kyneton

 

 

 

Kyneton March 2017 - 31 January 2018

We are carrying out chlorine disinfection on the Kyneton water supply network.

There will be no disruption to supply although you may notice a change in the taste and odour of drinking water.

The water is safe to drink and meets Australian Drinking Water Standards.

Bendigo

Our contractor, RSP Environmental Services, is carrying out CCTV sewer main inspections and cleaning in various locations in Bendigo.

Minor traffic interruptions as required.

No disruption to service.

Our contractor, Interflow, is carrying out CCTV sewer main inspections, cleaning and renewal works in various locations in Bendigo and Kyneton.

Pine Safety Removal Project, Lauriston Reservoir

Lauriston, Malmsbury and Upper Coliban reservoirs

May until further notice

The planned burns have been completed.

Revegetation works are still taking place.

Standpipe works, Marong

 

 

 

Calder Alternative Highway, Marong 2 March 2017 until further notice

The Marong standpipe has been temporarily flow controlled.

Regular users of the standpipe will notice that it will take longer to fill their tanks.

The nearest alternative standpipes are on Loddon Valley Highway (close to intersection with Grintons lane), Myers Flat, and at Station Street (close to intersection with Olympic Parade), Kangaroo Flat.
