Epsom to Spring Gully Recycled Water Project

The project is part of Coliban Water's water security plan Waterplan 2055 which has four key action areas, one of which is to make greater use of recycled water.

> Project stages

The project has been completed in two stages:

Stage 1

• Construction of a 14.5km pipeline from the Bendigo Water Reclamation Plant in Epsom to Spring Gully reservoir; and
• Construction of a Recycled Water Factory at the Bendigo Water Reclamation Plant in Epsom.

Stage 2

• Enhanced treatment of the water at the Bendigo Recycled Water Factory to reduce salinity.

> The pipeline

The pipeline is underground and has being laid along roadways, bicycle tracks, the creek bed along Bendigo Creek and Spring Creek (Back Creek) and within several other public reserves.
