> Survey investigation results

Investigations have been undertaken along the length of the pipeline route for flora, fauna and cultural heritage.  Topography and geological investigations will be completed prior to project commencement.

Results of the flora and fauna study have shown that much of pipeline route has been cleared, with some remnants of ‘Plains Woodland’ present.

No flora or fauna of national or state conservation significance was recorded. One fauna species of regional significance was recorded, the Glossy Ibis. Overall it was found that the pipeline route is of low ecological value.

The cultural heritage assessment of the pipeline route has found that there is a low level of risk that works will impact of Aboriginal heritage and no Cultural Heritage Management Plan is required.
