> Pumps, Pipes and a Tank
As well the pipelines, this project will require construction of two pumping stations and a water storage tank.
Pipes:
The 'Backbone' pipeline will be made of steel, have a diameter of 500mm and will allow for a maximum flow rate of approximately 23 megalitres a day.
The reticulation network will have a diameter from 225mm to 63mm and will be made of either PVC or polyethylene (plastic).
Pumping Stations:
- Barkers Creek - This will be constructed in a clearing between the reservoir embankment and McIvor Road. It will include four pumps with a combined capacity of 33 megalitres per day.
- Faraday - This will be constructed in a clearing between the Coliban Main Channel, the Harcourt Channel off-take and the old Calder Highway. This station will include three pumps with combined capacity of 23 megalitres per day.

Water Storage Tank
A water tank will be built on private property to the north of Mount Alexander Regional Park and to the east of Harcourt Sutton Grange Road in Harcourt North. The facility includes a single two-million litre water storage tank approximately 24 metres in diameter.
All infrastructure will be designed to blend into the environment as much as possible.
