Stage 1 - Planning and Environment approvals

The project commenced in October 2010. A number of statutory approvals were required for this project. We are bound to comply with many pieces of State and Federal legislation. Certain approvals have been dependent on what was discovered along the pipeline alignment during field investigations.

We experienced a number of lengthy delays throughout the course of Stage 1. The completion was delayed due to wet weather late last year and earlier this year and we also encountered sections of hard rock on route. Stage 1 was completed in July this year.

Stage 2 - Implementation and Construction

Stage 2 of the project required a planning permit from the City of Greater Bendigo due to the impact on native vegetation. We received notification of successfully obtaining our planning permit in late June 2011.

We are currently working with our contractor on meeting the special conditions on the planning and environmental approvals needed for the construction of Stage 2 - 9.9 kilometers of pipeline.

Once we finalise all the necessary approvals to proceed from the relevant regulatory agencies we will then commence construction.

Stage 3 - Completion and Review

This is when the project is complete, construction has finished and the pipeline and all ancillary equipment is finished and operating.
