To connect the townships of Raywood and Sebastian to the Bendigo water supply system. A pipeline will be built from a connection point in Eaglehawk to Raywood via Sebastian.

Extensive planning has already been undertaken to broadly define the likely cost, potential route options and suitable pipe diameter. Since then further investigations have been carried out to find a preferred alignment.

Stage 1 - Planning and Environment approvals

Before the pipeline can be constructed a number of statutory approvals are required. Coliban Water is bound to comply with many pieces of State and Federal legislation. However, we have sound relationships with our approval authorities and we are working together towards obtaining all approvals within the year. Certain approvals are dependent on what is discovered along the pipeline alignment during field investigations. We have split the approvals for the project into two stages and we hope to obtain approvals for Stage 1 by the end of September 2010.

Stage 2 - Implementation and Construction

It is envisaged that the implementation and construction phase will begin in late 2010 and may take approximately 6-8 months to complete. The construction start date is dependent on obtaining all the necessary approvals.

Stage 3 - Completion and Review

The project is complete, construction has finished and the pipeline and all ancillary equipment is finished and operating.
