Raywood - Sebastian Pipeline Project
> Consultation with project stakeholders
We are continuing our consultation with the stakeholders involved with this project. These stakeholders include the Department of Planning and Community Development, the Department of Sustainability and Environment, the City of Greater Bendigo, VicRoads, VicTrack, Parks Victoria and the North Central Catchment Management Authority.
We are also seeking community input through the implementation of a Water Services Committee.

> Pipeline alignment
A key project element is the process of finalising a pipeline route. Several pipeline options were explored and assessment of the required approvals has been completed.
We currently have a preferred alignment that considers many elements, including: |
- Water Services Committee input
- Native flora and fauna - quantity and quality
- Planning requirements
- Waterway crossings
- Cultural and European heritage
- Land tenure
- Crown land requirements
- Native title
To reduce the impact on landowners we are seeking to locate the majority of new infrastructure within road reserves and public land.
To meet the needs of a thorough project investigation methodology and statutory requirements, we carried out detailed investigations of the alignment options to assess the quantity and quality of native flora and fauna. We have also engaged the services of archaeologists to assess indigenous and European cultural heritage in the area. Specialist planning consultants have also reviewed the planning requirements of the project.

Now we have a preferred alignment in terms of the elements above, a key next step is to notify all landowners adjacent to the preferred alignment. Once we have finalised our database we will send out letters to all adjacent landowners accordingly.
