Community InvolvementA community consultation program was launched in September 2006 providing opportunities for the wider community to learn about the project and provide feedback. An Agency Reference Group has been established for the project to provide a forum for regulatory authorities and other interested parties to identify potential issues and to facilitate project approvals. The group includes representatives from VicRoads, Department of Sustainability and Environment, the Shire of Campaspe, the City of Greater Bendigo, local catchment management authorities and Goulburn Murray Water. Two Project Information Days were held in September 2006. 29 people attended the Information Day in Axedale (26 September) and 41 attended the Information Day in Colbinabbin (27 September). Members of the Project Team from Coliban Water and GHD attended the Information Days. Outcomes from feedback received at the September 2006 Information Days include:
Two Project Information Days were held in February 2007. 17 people attended the Information Day in Axedale (5 February) and 30 attended the Information Day in Colbinabbin (6 February). Members of the Project Team from Coliban Water, FRH Group and GHD attended the Information Days to answer questions about construction. A Powercor representative also attended to answer questions related to power upgrades associated with the project. Outcomes from feedback received at the February 2007 Information Days include:
