How to apply for a Water Carters Permit

> Commercial Water Carter

Commercial water carters are required to complete the Application Commercial User form and the Avdata monthly account application form. A refundable $20.00 deposit is required for the Avdata key.
The monthly account allows you to take water from any standpipe managed by Coliban Water, excluding recycled water standpipes. There is a quarterly account fee which is currently $7.26.

> Private Water Carter

Private water carters are required to complete the Application Private User form. A refundable $20.00 deposit is required for the issue of the Avdata key. Private water carters have two options; a monthly account or a pre-paid key.

> Monthly Accounts

The monthly account allows you to take water from any standpipe managed by Coliban Water, excluding recycled water standpipes.. There is a quarterly account fee which is currently $7.26. If choosing the monthly account option the Avdata monthly account application form will also have to be completed.

> Pre-Paid Keys

The pre-paid keys do not incur any extra fees, the available balance on your key simply reduces each time you take water. There is a 24 hour delay in the credit being applied to your key when you top up, please note that this delay may be longer over a weekend or public holiday.

The credit balance on your key is assigned to the standpipe of your choice, water can then only be accessed from that nominated standpipe. If you would like to be able to access water from more than one standpipe then a separate credit would need to be applied to each additional standpipe and linked to your access key.
