> Capacity, volume and access charges for the 2008-2009 season
The capacity is the volume of water you have on your licence. A capacity charge of $124.38 per ML applies to the licence volume you hold.
The volumetric charge is applied to the water you actually use from your licence volume. The volumetric charge is $84.26 per ML.
You are also charged as annual fee to access the system – regardless of the amount of water you use or hold on your licence. The annual access fee is $100.75 for storage customers, $707.48 for channel customers and $808.47 for pipeline customers.
> When am I charged?
Rural customers receive a quarterly account (four times per year) in September, December/January, March and June. Each account will contain one quarter of the annual access fee, a volumetric charge (per ML on whatever volume you have used for that quarter) and a capacity charge (on whatever capacity you hold on your licence at the end of that quarter, taking into account transfers).
If you have an outstanding account for rural water you will not receive a water allocation until the debt is finalised.
