Approximately 286 kilolitres of water was lost from a burst 200mm water main in Lakeview Street, Boort Wednesday afternoon. 13 customers were without water for up to five hours.

Action taken:
A 1.5 meter long section burst from the water main, requiring five valves to be shut down to isolate the burst. A maintenance crew was sent from Bendigo to repair the water main.
286 kilolitres of water was lost from the 200mm diameter main. It is believed that the burst was due to the age of the pipe. The water main was originally laid in 1940.
