A half empty Lake Weeroona will be a thing of the past now that water from the new recycled water pipeline is flowing into the Lake this week.

The Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, Malcolm Turnbull, today announced that the Australian Government will contribute $25 million from the Australian Government Water Fund to the $98 million Bendigo Pipeline.
RECYCLED PIPELINE COMPLETE AND FIRST WATER DELIVERED TO QEO TODAY27 April 2007
Bendigo Mining groundwater is the first water to be delivered in the pipeline built as part of the Epsom to Spring Gully Recycled Water Project.

Coliban Water is investigating ways to treat a high level of Manganese in water it hopes to pump from Lake Eppalock to Bendigo.

SPRING GULLY RESERVOIR MAINTENANCE BEFORE TAKING RECYCLED WATER18 April 2007

Coliban Water started pumping water from Spring Gully Reservoir yesterday to allow for urgent maintenance on a valve prior to delivery of recycled water scheduled to commence next week.
