Public access has been closed off at Coliban Water’s Barkers Creek Reservoir due to high levels of blue green algae.

When daylight savings ends this Sunday, April 6 and clocks go back an hour, Coliban Water customers on the Stage 4 General Exemption should also change their outside watering time to between 6pm and 7pm.

A small but important environmental flow will be released to the Coliban River downstream of Malmsbury Reservoir, the North Central Catchment Management Authority (CMA) and Coliban Water jointly announced today.
More water for Bendigo and better service for Catumnal Channel customers Joint Release - Goulburn-Murray Water	11 March 2008
Goulburn-Murray Water (G-MW) customers along the Catumnal Channel will now enjoy a year round reliable water supply and Bendigo residents will benefit from an additional 220 ML of water thanks to a new pipeline scheme officially opened today by Mayor of the Loddon Shire, Cr Christine Brooke.
