NEW SEWER MAIN TO ACCOMODATE GROWTH IN BENDIGO29 January 2010
Coliban Water is constructing a new 1.15 kilometre sewer trunk main in Powell Street Bendigo to accommodate current and future growth in the area.

Coliban Water has advised it needed to activate its Emergency Management Procedures this afternoon when a hazardous substance spilled in a small shed near its Sandhurst Water Treatment Plant in Bendigo.

A $225,000 lagoon de-sludging program that will protect recycled water quality and manage long-term odour control has commenced this month at the Heathcote and Bendigo Water Reclamation Plants (WRP).

Approximately 286 kilolitres of water was lost from a burst 200mm water main in Lakeview Street, Boort Wednesday afternoon. 13 customers were without water for up to five hours.

Approximately 25,000 litres of sewerage spilled into a 500 metre section of Bendigo Creek last night as a result of an overflow from a sewer manhole. There was no water in Bendigo Creek at the time of the spill.

Media Information Statement - Burst water main in Trentham 07 December 2009
Approximately 30,000 litres of water was lost from a burst 100mm water main in High Street Trentham Sunday afternoon. 50 customers were without water for up to six and a half hours.

Approximately 10,000 litres of sewerage spilled into a 300 metre section of Jobs Creek this morning as a result of an overflow from a sewer manhole. There was no water in Jobs Creek at the time of the spill.
